Everything in this world conducts electricity, some things better than others, and the rate at which a substance conducts energy is known as resistance. Some textiles offer greater or lesser resistance than others and these textiles can be used to make what is known as "soft-wear", a term coined to describe the technology, development, integration, and creation of electronically active textiles for use with in one of most intimate of technologies, our clothing and homes.

Many of the images in this gallery are works accomplished in conjunction with The Whispers Research Group, a research team in The School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver Canada.
